K.J. Osborn was not in attendance for the game between the Vikings and the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium. The 26-year-old receiver suffered a concussion last weekend after absorbing a scary hit midway through the game between the Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons. He laid motionless on the field in the aftermath, and while he managed to stand up under his own power, he ultimately had to be carted to the locker room.Though he progressed enough to be a full participant in practice on Friday afternoon at TCO Performance Center, the Vikings and Osborn came to the joint decision that it was best to give him more time to recover. The other inactives for the Vikings included quarterback Jaren Hall, safety Lewis Cine, linebacker Brian Asamoah, tight end Nick Muse, defensive tackle Dean Lowry, and offenstive tackle Hakeem Adeniji.Related ArticlesMinnesota Vikings | The Loop Fantasy Football Update Week 10: Last-minute moves Minnesota Vikings | ...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Left tackle Trent Williams will join wide receiver Deebo Samuel in returning from two-game abscesses, giving the 49ers (5-3) an offensive boost for today’s game against the red-hot Jaguars (6-2).Williams looked surprisingly spry as he walked into EverBankStadium, after laboring through Thursday’s practice, which was his first action since a right-ankle sprain in the 49ers’ loss at Cleveland four weeks ago.Williams was listed as questionable, as was linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle), the latter of whom is inactive.Samuel was cleared off the injury list after practicing throughout the past week. He left that Oct. 15 loss at Cleveland in the first quarter, when he sustained a left-shoulder injury that was diagnosed a week later as a hairline fracture.“You get Deebo back on the field, it helps. That changes everything. That changes the attitude when they take the football field with him,” Michael Irvin said on NFL Netw...

FREMONT — Police and animal services officers have recovered dozens of cats from the home of a retired humane services officer who was allegedly keeping the animals in disgusting conditions at the residence, authorities said. The officers identified at least 73 cats at the Fremont residence, and noted that some animals were dead and decomposing inside cages. Some were found with ringworm, flea infestations, respiratory illness, and other medical maladies, and others were kept in cages with hamster water bottles or no access to water at all, authorities said.Police and animal control became aware of the situation, ironically, after the homeowner reached out to authorities for help taking care of the animals while she was hospitalized for a long-term stay. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Activists protesting corporate profits, environmental abuses, poor working conditions and the Israel-Hamas war are among those planning to march in downtown San Francisco on Sunday, united in their opposition to a global trade summit that will draw President Joe Biden and leaders from nearly two dozen countries. Protests are expected throughout this week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ conference, which could draw more than 20,000 attendees, including hundreds of international journalists. The No to APEC coalition, made up of more than 100 grassroots groups, says trade deals struck at summits such as APEC exploit workers and their families. It’s unlikely world leaders will even glimpse the protests given the strict security zones accessible only to attendees at the Moscone Center conference hall and other summit sites. But Suzanne Ali, an organizer for the Palestinian Youth Movement, says the U.S. government needs to be held to account f...
